Katie Lydon

Katie Lydon, originally from London, founded her downtown New York interior design firm in 2002.

Educated at Wimbledon Art School in London and then Cambridge University, Katie’s interiors reflect her knowledge and passion for antiques and architecture as well as her eye for contemporary art and design. She believes that a balance of classic and modern pieces creates a home that is at once timeless and exciting.

Whether designing a polished uptown townhouse, a stylish downtown loft, Fifth Avenue Duplex, or a relaxed family retreat, Katie aims to bring the highest level of quality and service to her clients and to create warm, comfortable and beautiful homes that reflect their owners’ unique personality and style. Her projects in New York City, the Hamptons, Westchester, Boston, and beyond have won her a diverse and devoted residential clientele.

Katie’s work has been featured in national and international design publications including Cottages & Gardens, DuJour, House Beautiful, Elle Décor, Metropolitan Home, Tatler, The New York Times, and Town & Country. She is a frequent guest on the podcast Boroughs & Burbs and recently appeared on NBC’s Open House NYC. In November 2009, Metropolitan Home named Katie one of their ten “Rising Design Stars,” and in June 2010, Elle Décor included Katie in their “A-List Top 5 Designers to Watch.”
